Dear Diary…. ‘A Class’ Adventures

You lot have stopped opening these messages as much so I thought I would remind you that these are very important words here you know! It is THE Diary of a Fifty Something Nobody. I am going to change somethings up soon so don’t stop reading – you never know, you could be as uninspired and Nobody like as me in a jiffy.

So Dear Diary, what to report? I managed to drive Joe all the way up to Grimsby without any trouble, not even any near misses from other nutters (sorry I mean my fellow road users). That is it now, we (Joe and I) are free to roam even if ‘im indoors doesn’t want to go. The road is my oyster. We are off next weekend (I think the other driver may take the wheel though) but only to North Scarle near Newark. It is a meet up with our other saddo Motorhome/ Caravanning friends at a village hall. Hey, we know how to live! I am sure there will be much laughter, mugs of tea and lots of ‘Oooos and Ahhhs’, as one of the collective has just had a new (to them) Motorhome, their very first one.

And, of course, the reason for the journey to Grimsby was to collect Mrs Fle (apparently she has private plates). She is glorious in her mulberryness and is about to go to Derby as I need to swim. She behaved beautifully behind Joe, I am sure they are going to be good friends.

I can report that I didn’t do too much yesterday. The pacing worked. Yeah!

I have come up with the title for my musings on travel; ‘The Snail Trails’. In fact, whilst we still have Joe, it will actually be ‘The Snail Trails – A Class Adventures’. For those of you not so familiar with the world of motorhomes/campervans, there are various types of these vehicles such as ‘Coachbuilt’, Van Conversions and in our case, we have an ‘A Class’. A Class are allegedly the most prestigious of all motorhomes but I can tell you that if we get a chipped windscreen it is very, and I mean very, expensive.

Anyhooo, off to the pool for me and a weekend ahead of getting Joe ready for our A Class Adventures which will start next weekend. And you thought the Diary of a Fiftysomething Nobody would be boring? Noooooo!
