Oh my goodness, yesterday was a big one. Mentally that is. We had the Directors meeting which formally agreed to voluntary liquidate our paint company. We have now handed over the final stages of its closure to the Liquidators and we are free to start really living in the future. No actually, start living for today. It was a BIG day for us.
I had another big appointment that I can’t talk about here but by the time I arrived home in the early afternoon the Fibromyalgia got me. I felt sick with exhaustion and yet all I had done was spoken with people. I share this because it is the hidden part of conditions like Fibromyalgia and Psoriatic Arthritis. The technical reason for the exhaustion is that the stress triggered inflammation inside my body that I didn’t necessarily feel as a physical sensation. I feels like my batteries have been pulled out when this happens. That was me done for the day….. well except for a bit of dobbing at the ‘local’. I needed to ‘dob’ and just be with locals who didn’t care about the rest of the shit happening in my life. As a bonus – I won the last ‘House’. I am rich!
Today, well the sun is out, I have rested and I do not have anything which is threatening to stress me. In fact, I can actually get on properly with feeling better. I have had a nutritious breakfast and I have a strong feeling I can move forwards happily, even if the medics try to sabotage me. What would Mel say ‘Let Them’ (see Sunday’s post – the Kooky one). She would also say ‘Let Me’. Well Mel, I am doing just that.
Despite the metaphorical skip in my step – I have a way to go before I can actually skip – I still have to be conscious of ‘pacing’. I can’t do everything today but this is what my ‘To Do List’ looks like:
- Edit ‘Sauce’ for one hour (Sauce is my completed but yet unpublished novel)
- Buy a blood test from Thriver – I will trial it and hopefully it will give me control over monitoring rather than leave it to the medics. I will report back here at a later date.
- Buy some new house shoes – my Croc equivalents have given up on life.
- Pay Auntie’s Carehome invoice (it seems I have let it slip my mind this month – whoops)
- Go to IKEA Park near Nottingham to a. book my bike in to be repaired at Decathlon and b. go into IKEA to look at a new desk and new shelves. Oh….and meatballs may be consumed.
- Swim and Sauna (hopefully no pool rage will spoil my day)
Yes, you are right, it is definitely a Nobody sort of day and I am so happy to be doing it.
