I didn’t leave the house except to Poo Pick (I know, you didn’t need to know that). Wow….that was interesting then. Actually, yesterday was a bit dull. Short diary entry then.
The morning was very unfocused. It took me all morning to write my journal and diary. It was interspersed with multiple cups of tea (Chai Masala if anyone is interested).
Next on the agenda was reading a book (There Are Rivers in the Sky – Elif Shafak) which I know is good but keeps sending me to sleep. I have been unsure whether it was the various things that cause me to get sleepy (the pharmaceuticals, the fibro, the psoriatic arthritis, the stress) or is it just a bit dull. I felt that I hadn’t given this book the opportunity to settle in. Had I been reading it in too short periods? It is, without doubt, beautifully written but it doesn’t have the ‘Colonel Mustard in the library with the weird little pipe thing’ element. I did stay awake for a whole hour but it took some will power. Perhaps it will all come together in this last quarter – I will finish it! I will report back!
I then went on to fill in a form for DWP. All I will say is that I will never get my afternoon back but it had to be done.
Finally we headed to ‘The Duke’ for the pub quiz. Our little team of itinerant travellers (caravaners and motorhomers) did even worse than last week. Perhaps I have to schedule in watching The Chase every afternoon? As always, the homemade chips were to die for.
Nothing profound today.
